Ms Kasy Chambers, (BA (Hons); MBA, Grad Dip Ethics) is Executive Director of Anglicare Australia – a network of 40 agencies, more than 20,000 staff and volunteers, working with over 900,000 clients annually across Australia.
Ms Chambers is an accomplished CEO with extensive, national experience in government and the community sector. She brings widespread, hands-on experience in policy, advocacy, government relations, service provision, community development, corporate governance and finance.
Immediate past positions include: Manager Communications and Government Relations at UnitingCare Australia; Assistant Secretary in the Australian Government Department of Family, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; Executive Director, YWCA of Canberra; Senior Policy Advisor with ACOSS; and Executive Officer of the Resource Unit for Children with Special Needs in Western Australia.
Ms Chambers has had numerous board positions and Ministerial appointments and currently sits on the Public Affairs Commission of the Anglican Church; the Sector User Group of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission; and is a board member of Greenpeace Australia and Pacific. Her academic position include Adjunct Lecturer Flinders University and Board member of Board of Studies for Social Work, Charles Sturt University.
She holds an honours degree in Psychology; a Masters in Business Administration; a diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Graduate Diploma in Ethics; and has recently undertaken the Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management course, Harvard Business School, USA.
