Dr Katrina Stratton

Katrina is driven by a passion to influence and demonstrate the benefits of various forms of social change, and increasing social cohesion. With experience as a social work practitioner, researcher and educator, Katrina’s contribution involves understanding and using strategies to reduce marginalisation and inequalities while building capacity with individuals, families and communities. Katrina has extensive practice and research history with children and families. She has particular expertise designing and implementing evaluations of practice-based programs examining outcomes for children, families and organisations.

Katrina has worked across the government, university and non-profit sectors. She is currently Coordinator of Research and Evaluation at Wanslea, responsible for research across Wanslea’s diverse range of services including family preservation, parenting support, out of home care, regional services, and early childhood education. Katrina is responsible for the development and implementation of a research strategic plan. Katrina has developed research tools, engaged practitioners in research, and contributed to the development of research culture in the organisation. Katrina also coordinates and manages research and evaluation projects both internally, and in partnership with external stakeholders

Katrina is a Board member of Tuart Place, member of the Alumni for Social Impact, and an MBA student at the University of Western Australia.
